Susanne Stridh Mgonja

Founder, Grundare

Susanne started the project Bilka Family Ilala Boma after living in the area for three months in summer 2015. The children in the area who live in absolute misery went right into Susanne's heart, and she decided then to slowly start building up the ghetto by working with projects and start to help the most vunerable familys and gradually transform the area. The goal is that every child should have his own mentor, the aim is to give the children a better living, give them knowledge on how to "fish" insted of just "giving fish". Susanne believe in creating a life style by utilizing their own natural resources, and craft . Donations will go to programs for malnourished children, school and medical care. You can do a lot with the right knowledge and she want to make  Ilala to a eco village. Susanne has big goals and large visions and she aim to raise the standard of living for the children in Ilala Boma.

Susanne startade projektet Bilka Family Ilala Boma efter att ha bott i området tre månader sommaren 2015. Barnen i området som lever i total misär gick rätt in i Susannes hjärta, och hon bestämde sig då för att sakta men säkert börja bygga upp ghettot genom att arbeta med punktinsatser och börja med att hjäpa de mest behövande och succesivt förändra området. Målet är att varje enskilt barn skall ha sin egna fadder, syftet är att ge barnen en drägligare vardag, ge dom kunskap om hur man "fiskar" till skilland från många andra som bara "ger fisken". Susanne tror på att skapa arbetstilfällen genom att utnyttja egna naturtillgångar samt via hantverk. Donationer kommer att gå till program för undernärda barn, skolgång samt läkarvård. Det finns massor att göra med små enkla medel. Med rätt kunskap kan du göra mycket och Susanne vill göra området till en eco by. Susanne har stora mål och visioner och syftet är att höja levnadsstandarden för barnen i Ilala Boma.

Alpha Kilulu also called Bobby is our assistant manager and also run our new Bilka Center at Kigamboni i Dar Es Salaam. 

Alpha was left alone at the street when he was 6 years old. He have a very strong history and by the faith of god he survived. We feel honoured to have him onboard both as a serious boardmember but also as a role model for our children. 

Benjamin Shayo

Excecutive, VD projekt Bilka Family Ilala Boma

Benjamin was born and raised in Ilala where the organization is running the project. Benjamin works as an official of the Government of Tanzania, as well he is studying for a bachelor's degree in human resource management. Benjamin is a very driven man and he and Susanne got to know each other when Susanne lived in Ilala. Benjamin is responsible for the donations, and make sure that they go to the right purpose and it is also he who makes sure that families get what they need after the organization decided what is to be done. Benjamin is the most important link in the whole project, it is he who provides all information and photographs and have contact daily with the famlilies and village. Benjamin is Susanne's main link and the organization is incredibly grateful that we have him on board. When the compound is gradually growing family after family, Benjamin is the coordinator and handles all the logistics in the village. He is the organization's " spider in the web" , and his experience of real life in Ilala will take us into the heart and can help where it is most needed. When You become personal sponsor to a child you will get your information about your child and he/shes particular needs from Benjamin.

Benjamin är född och uppvuxen i Ilala där organisationen driver projektet. Benjamin arbetar som tjänsteman för regeringen i Tanzania samt studerar för en kandidatexamen i human resource management. Benjamin är en mycket driven man och han och Susanne lärde känna varandra då Susanne bodde i Ilala. Benjamin är ansvarig för att donationerna används för ändamålet och det är även han som ser till att familjerna får det dom behöver efter att organisationen beslutat vad som skall verkställas. Benjamin är den viktigaste länken i hela projektet då det är han som tillhandahåller all information och fotograferar och har kontakten dagligen med området. Benjamin är Susannes viktigaste länk och organisationen är otroligt tacksamma över att vi har honom på plats. Då föreningen arbetar succesivt med familj efter familj är det Benjamin som kodrinerar samt sköter all logistik på plats. Han är organisationens "spindel i nätet" och hans erfarenhet av riktiga livet i Ilala gör att vi kommer in i kärnan och kan hjälpa där det mest behövs. Du som blir personlig fadder för ett barn kommer att få din information om ditt barn samt just ditt barns behov av Benjamin.
